EIF brings together performance, sound, video and social critique from Bay Area artists to strain out the juicy toxins of living in “the empire” in these unsettling times. Following up on the “Glamour Summit” at Somarts, The “Post Glamour Summit” at New Langton Arts and “The Empire Ultra” at The LAB, “Extreme Insecurity Forces” (EIF) brings us to the present moment of increased militarization, political suspension, environmental meltdown and the desire to go into the fetal position as we continue to explore the current state of affairs of corporate colonization through musical improvisation, video and performance. Terror and wild humor are the essential tone of contemporary America during these horrific and ridiculous times.

This performance includes the legendary WIGband and the Hogs in celebration of the Year of the Pig. WIGband will present their latest original songs “ Paranoia Waltz” and “Persona non Grata”. The Hogs, Chris Brown and Tim Perkis and Hogette MaryClare Bryztwa will use software-based musical improvisation played along with video projections. The Forces include Guillermo Galindo and Paula Cekola’s tribute to pregnant cheerleaders in search of protection, VJ Love video DJ, a new song-performance by Praba Pilar with Myles Boisen and “Poster Gal” Nora Chipaumire.
