The “Guardians” was the first mural painted in Cohen Alley now known as the Tenderloin National Forest. The companion piece “Shrine” was created with youth from the Vietnamese Youth Development Center and Glades Perreras. Commissioned by the 509 Cultural Center/Luggage Store Gallery, San Francisco Mural Resource Center and the San Francisco Arts Commission. Recently these pieces were restored for the Tenderloin National Forest as it has grown into the beautiful green, art filled and cultural space it is today.
