Stockton, California along the I-5

(14′ x 2000′ ) Brick and concrete. Design team with Architect Brian Laczko. This soundwall is a “weave” of textiles expressive of Stockton’s diverse population. Beginning with the Filipino malong along the freeway on-ramp transforming to Laotian boat shapes, to Mayan zigzag design to American quilt patterns and Native American basket weave. Commissioned by CalTrans through the Stockton Public Art Program.
