Gleason Park
City of Stockton, Parks & Recreation

The public art  “Beacon”,  gateway to Gleason Park, was designed and fabricated by Johanna Poethig and architect Brian Laczko. The twin pillars feature glass-covered portals that enclose historic photos from Little Manila Foundation and the City of Stockton that illustrate the character and original inhabitants of the city. The pillars are painted with culturally symbolic plum red and are topped by gold flames in a traditionally stylized Filipino design.
