Recent Work

Travel through landscapes, imagined through paintings, ceramic sculpture and experimental video that explore our relationship to the planet and communication across species. The Landscape Speaks is a growing installation where clay, dirt, earth is molded into plant, fungi and lichen microphones inspired by recent research about the ways these life forms interact and communicate. The microphones are assembling into a Plant Press Conference imagining the amplification of  soundwaves, frequencies and vibrations.  The stage for these sculpted microphones are paintings, composed of unlikely geographies with no borders, ancient and modern architectures, curious botanical combinations, human made objects and mathematically generated patterns of living and inanimate systems.
